Water, Water

Another scheduled mini-post coming to you while we're still away.

On one of our previous visits up to the cottage, I noticed these colours dancing on the water by the dock. The deep green mirrors nearby trees and grass. The turquoise is a reflection from the underside of a paddle boat - shore bound and on its side. Small things amuse me.

Big things amuse me too - like this large expanse of water, sky and disappearing sunlight. Sunset at the cottage is just magical.

Back in a few days with another scheduled post.

that top picture looks like a painting.

Both pictures are great. The bottom one reminded me of coming off the lake at night from a day of fishing. IThere was a second when the smell of the lake came to my senses while view all the colors and reflections in the picture. Good job!

That top picture looks like it has been altered.... but I think, like me, you don't do that. It is fascinating to think those colours are natural.

That bottom photo looks very tranquil as the sun goes down.

I also took some 'water color' pictures the other day. With fall the sun angles are more golden and the colors more interesting.

the ripples could be a painting!

At first I thought the ripples coloring was due to oil .. shudder .. hope you are having a fabulous time and cannot wait to see the photos.

While I love both pictures, the first one is absolutely gorgeous! The water looks surreal.

As I love sunsets, the second picture evokes more memories for me.

Your photography is pretty amazing:~)

You have such a good eye at seeing art in small things. I love the reflections. It should be framed.

Love the water by the dock, especially since you aver it is natural as opposed to photoshopped. Very cool.

Thank you all so much. Your wonderful remarks never fail to make my day.

Saz, I tried responding to your request via email a number of days ago but haven't heard back from you, so I fear I might have had the wrong addie. You are most welcomed to paint this image. I'd love to see it when done. Thanks. :)
