I will try and make the rounds! I see some new to me blogs here.

Ruling yourself out of the awards is AGAINST THE RULES.

So there.

I have actually been to one or two of these and I'll try and get 'round the others too. But if you don't stop stopping us telling you what a good blog you have, I'll start a petition!

Thaks for doing POTW. It is good to find new gems in there.

You are amazing!
Not only making the rounds, selecting the best for us, but also putting in all those fabulous links in various colours and opening a new page, bravissima!

What would we do without you to find new blogs for us to read?

Kathleen said...

Thank you, Hillary. So lovely to open my e-mail and see comments from new and treasured friends, especially when the topic something is so tender and raw still and people send their support.

Is is a quandary for you to have a post of yours nominated? I have an idea on about that. Feel free to e-mail me if you wish.

Gratefully,
Kathleen

That was a lovely trip through Blogland...I'd been there on most of them, but went back to offer congrats...a couple of them are new to me, but will be visited again...couldn't find a way to leave a comment at Cabo's post about Ben...that was a beautiful piece of work though...

nice. how cool to see Cabo on there...he is my cousin. actually a lot of friends on the list...off to check everyone out!

Hilary - Thank you very much. I am honored. Special thanks to Sandi McBride for spelling out "post of the week" for me - I am still very much learning. Even the cricket at the typewriter is an exaggeration. I usually write with a pencil.

Respectfully Yours,

Cricket

Very good picks Hilary! Made my rounds and enjoyed them all. Couldn't leave a comment on Cabo's Ben post...but in reading more of his writing found that he no longer has comments on so if he is reading just want to say I love your writing and have had some of exact same thoughts on writing, followers and comments. Many of the blogs I seek out are written by those that write for themselves and not for me or anyone else. I like that.

Hate when I do a "double exposure" post like that. :)

Congrats to all the POTW winners this week!

Dear Hilary, once again a superb collection of old and new friends. Sadly could not leave a comment on 'Ben'.

Good work.

Hilary, Your selections are normally worth the read, and I am grateful to you for the effort you put into reading so much and sharing the best with us.

THIS week's POTW is just amazing though. Both "Eternal Autumn" by Cricket and "Scene of the Crime" by Jim are deserving of a Blogging Pulitzer if there was such a thing. Just incredibly beautifully written posts. "Hello Harry" is a well-written and interesting story with kind of a surprise twist, too. I enjoyed all of these, but this group even more than the usual weekly POTW submissions.

Yes, yes, I know the praise for the writing goes to those authors who wrote them, but I just wanted to give you a shout of praise for bringing them to our attention.

* Thanks MT. There are indeed a few new ones. I'm sure you'll enjoy them. :)

* Oh HUSH, Thumbelina! ;) You would make the same rule if you were doing this .. .so there! You're free to tell me that you've enjoyed one of my posts.. I do thrive on that, but I'm not going to promote my own blog on the POTW.. that's for others. And I'm stamping my foot yelling "stampsies, no rub out!" Nah nah nah nah NAH nah! Thanks for the kind words and sentiments, C. You know they're very much appreciated, my friend. :)

* Thank, Zuzana. I'm glad you enjoy these posts as much as I do. :)

* Ha, Merisi, you noticed the new page trick! ;) Thanks for stopping by with your always-kind words. :)

* Thanks, Gaelikaa. I hope you enjoy them. :)

* My pleasure, Kat. I hope you enjoy the others too. :)

* My pleasure, Jane. I know you're going to love Cricket's post. He's an amazing writer whom I suspect you'll see among these listings pretty often.. much like yourself. Thanks for stopping by. :)

* KC, I don't know but it probably wouldn't include a keyboard. Thanks for the visit. :)

* Kathleen, I'm glad the new visitors brought comfort and support your way. That makes me happy to hear. As for myself being nominated, no, it's not a quandary for me. It's simply that I presume that if folks are here on my blog, they've already read my previous posts - or opted not to. I'm trying to introduce new and different posts to my readers, not reintroduce my own. So, I'm standing firm on this one. My own posts won't be included with recommendations. Thanks for asking though. :)

* Sandi, thanks so much for your support. I'm glad you've been enjoying these posts. I did notice that Cabo has since disabled his comment options. Thanks for stopping by. :)

* Thanks, Brian. Maybe you can let Cabo know that a number of people have been enjoying his post but were unable to comment. Thanks for always being so supportive. :)

* Cricket, my pleasure. I'm glad to share you with my regulars. You're an incredibly fine writer and a treat to read. I do wonder however, how you can see through all the pencil marks on your monitor. ;)

* Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Smiles4U. I'm hoping that Brian will let his cousin, Cabo know that there are a number of folks who have enjoyed his fine writing and who can relate to his sentiments. Thanks always for stopping by and being so supportive. :)

* Angie, that was a first for me. I had the wrong date on the scheduled post.. grrr. Anyway, no harm done, except I lost a few comments which came in early. I think I've managed to include them in the post for when it really appears.. which should be pretty soon. Thanks for commiserating. :)

* Thanks, MPM. Nice to know you're supportive of the idea. :)

Hilary said...

* Suldog, doubly my pleasure. You're both incredibly fine writers and I'm thrilled to help showcase the two of you. Thanks for stopping by. :)

* My pleasure, Dianne. I so enjoy your writing and I know that others would too if they knew where to find you. I was a bit bugged at myself when I read your Hello Harry post because I scrolled ahead and saw the pics before I started reading. So I knew who it was about from the start, but I still enjoyed every bit of it.. and of him. ;) Thanks for stopping by. :)

* Crabby, I hope you enjoy them. Thanks for stopping by. :)

* Thanks, Moannie. I'm glad you enjoyed them. And you're not alone about not being able to comment on Cabo's blog. That's a bit of a shame but hopefully word will get around to him that his writing is very much enjoyed. Thanks for the visit. :)

* Thanks, Michael. I'm certain that you'll enjoy reading these fine posts. Thanks for stopping by. :)

* My pleasure, J. I hope you enjoy the others. :)

* Nancy, my pleasure. Your posts are always a wonderful read. :)

* Daryl, yes.. I do. And I'm sure you can understand how I feel about that. ;)

* Nancy, thanks. I've noted it and will check it out soon. :)

* My pleasure, Saz. Well deserved. Thanks for stopping by. :)

* Thanks, Sandy. I knew I could count on you. :)

* Kevin thank you so much for your incredibly sweet and kind words. Do yourself a great favour and keep on reading Cricket and Suldog (Jim)'s blogs. They're both unwavering, high-quality writers. Cricket has only just begun blogging but he has guest posted on Suldog's blog in the past. Both of these guys are always worth the read. And of course, Dianne is a versatile, insightful and enjoyable blogger. All my choices are gems and I'm glad you're enjoying them. Thanks very much for taking the time to say so. :)

What a joy it was today to learn - from comments I was receiving - that I'd received a POTW mention from you!!! Thank you! You made my day!

* Thanks, Cloudia and Aloha to you too. :)

* My pleasure, Cabo. And I'll bet you have a lot more readers than you realize. Why not enable comments again and find out. :)

* My pleasure, Kelly. I'm glad to hear that this made you feel happy. Thanks for stopping by. :)
