Mystery Image and Posts of the Week

whatisit
The mystery image above was taken a few days ago. It's either going to be really obvious or it might possibly have you stumped. I'm going to moderate comments just for today. See if you can guess what the mystery image is. I'll post the answer tomorrow.

And now, without further delay, here are the Posts of the Week. The icon below is yours for the taking if if your blog post is named as a Post of the Week - either as top post or as a runner up.

I think your photo may be of the blinds in your bedroom, with the light behind them and the cord hanging down the left side.

I look forward to checking out your POTW :)

Dear Hilary, I seem not to be very good at solving these image riddles, I am afraid. It seems to be a string or a rope hanging through the image, thus my best guess would be a shadow of a window blind of some sort, or a curtain.;)
Thank you so much for including my writing among all these beuatiful pieces today, glad you enjoed my contemplative post.
And congratulations to everyone mentioned.
Have a great day dear friend,
xoxo

Congratulations to the POTW honorees!

The picture is a window, seen through the space between two sets of Venetian blinds, with the cord hanging down.
I believe.

Maybe flash Gordon attact a stell wall with his lasers or even a river of some kind. lol.

I would guess that that picture was taken of the junction between two Venetian blinds.

Hi Hilary, thanks for the post recommendations this week, will go check them out now. And also glad you appreciate the little guitar players on my post. They inspire me, if they can do it so can I. Hubby gave me a great guitar and when my fingers hurt I put it down. Ha.

Well, I'm reminded of stairs but I don't think that's it because of the split in the middle. maybe bleacher seats from underneath?

thanks for the POTW mention Hilary.

I'm going with a close-up shot of window blinds. It is def a weird image, but that's what my brain came up with. :-)

Thanks much for recognizing me and Miss America as a POTW. We're both excited about it. :-)

Thanks again for linking to these wonderful blogs. Tugster has left us with a wonderful post....he's on vacation, and purelandmountain is giving daily updates from Japan that touch me deeply also.

Guess: Stair shadow?

Why thank you Hilary, and ds, for including my little post here. What a nice surprise, though I am almost embarrassed to have you post anything that includes my photography.

Surprisingly and sadly busy this am, but I'll have to return to make the rounds. Congratulations to all.

Standing under bleachers, looking up (or really, under any set of stairs looking up to the light).
What a great shot!

Is the picture of blinds in your house?

Bossy Betty said...

Thank you! Thank you! I am so happy to have a Post of the Week. HOB will be soooooo happy too! (Well.....) I am guessing a super closeup of a zipper.

I'll have to come back to read the other posts, but those are Venetian blinds.

Wow, Hilary I am stomped! This mystery image is quite interesting and I am going to venture and say it's a floating shelf, just for the fun of playing :-)

I'm trying to figure out if it has something to do with shadows, but can't quite tell. I'm stumped!

Is it under a porch? I dunno...

I've looked at that image from every possible angle and I cannot figure out what it is. Kinda looks like light coming through a crack on a staircase but I know that's totally wrong.

My hat is off to whomever guesses the right answer!!

Nice puzzle, Hilary! Lots of fun.

larkswing said...

I honestly do not have the slightest idea. I'll blame it on the time change, my brain is just not working this week!! :)
