Opening Soon

I'm still very much stuck on Spring and it continues to unfold everywhere I look. Come walk with me and I'll share some of my surroundings with you.

about to open
Beautiful shades of pink and green. These leafy buds are about to open.

fuzzy branch bud
My favourite fuzzy branch is about to bud into life. In a few days, I'll post another photo. It's already come a long way since this day.

maple buds
Colourful maple buds, after a morning rain.

catkins group
More pretty catkins. These might be elm. Or not.

marcro blossom
Delicate white blossoms with pretty, pink stamens. What says spring better than this?

burrs of old
Last year's burrs still look pretty to me.

new growth
Some brand new leaves have that autumnish look to them.

opening soon
A fresh rainfall encourages growth.

Thanks always for joining me on my walk. I'll have some more photos for you in a few days.

Thanks for the walk, you have some beauties there. Spring is all around. IT is overcast here today. We haven't had rain since February. So we are looking forward to a good spring rain.

Lovely pictures, as always. I enjoy your macros; that flower's stamens look like they are poking out of my computer screen! :-)

Those are amazing macros. Beautiful beyond words. What lens do you use? (Yes, I'm into the technical details).

Our spring has really sprung here as the trees are almost fully done leafing out. That second photo really was shocking to me...don't know why, but it looks ....well you know!

The second one puts me in mind of the neck of an ostrich - your macro shots leaves me sadly lacking, I so admire your talents.

I vaguely recall how much fun a macro lens can be.... ;)

That hairy twig puts me in mind of a camel's leg.

Don't ask....

Lovely macros, nice series of spring buds.

Lovely shots of all the buds and leaves. We've got a lot of plants waiting to open up here, too. It'll be quite the colorful scene when everything blossoms.

So much life going on right before our eyes and capturing them with the lens makes them pop! Simple things that we take for granted every season of change.

I just love walking with you! My crape myrtle leaves are all red and green like the ones you posted. So pretty!

Nice pics Hilary, and I envy you your spring as we head into winter. Mind, we are having an Indian summer at present. Autumn is giving us better weather than this last summer ever did - Dave

P.S Hilary, can you please e-mail me with instructions on how to eliminate those silly coded words that come up when commenting? (for my N0 2 blog) - cimba7200@gmail.com - thanks, Dave

Enjoyed this nice walk with you. Always like macro images - something I notice quite often in TV shows and movies. Makes for a impressive image.

Like the water droplets on the maple buds a lot.

Looking forward to seeing more photos of your world. Am trying to get around the blogging world a bit more but never seem to get out and about as much as I would like. Things get busy with work or life and ....!

Take care.
