A Snow Day With Benny

Bundle up folks, we're going to take Benny for a walk through the snow-covered paths. This walkway near Frank's place never sees a plow through winter so snow, ice, slush and puddles are all over the place depending on the season and the weather. As of today, most of the white stuff is in the process of doing some serious melting but on this day, we had a fresh snowfall and in some places, it was about as deep as Benny is tall. Come join us and see for yourself.

Benny snowsit
Benny waits patiently on a well-worn part of the path. Sometimes, his black spot is the only thing visible when he's far ahead in the snow.

benny snow huh
Are we not moving along quickly enough for you, bud?

ben snowy bridge and stairs3
Even though he knows we're not crossing the bridge, he tries to convince us that we're heading in that direction. At least he comes running back when I tell him we're not going that way.

puppy has to poop
Benny was rather restless for the last few minutes. He was having trouble finding a suitable place to do his thang. It looks like he knows where he wants to be...

puppy has to poop2
Yup, here's the spot.

puppy has to poop4
Can you give a guy a little privacy, please?

puppy in snow
This was one time that I was not going to follow him out there to pick up after him. It was far enough off path that it wouldn't be a problem come the melt.

doggie in the snow
Back home again - Benny just doesn't get enough of snow play.

doggie in the snow5
Well, aren't you going to throw snowballs for me?

benny beauty
At the end of the day, the sun came out and our beautiful Benny finally settled in for a relaxing afternoon and evening. But the next day...

I hope you enjoyed our walk with Benny. Thanks for joining us.

OMG.....I was laughing sooooo hard when you got to the picture of poor Benny's head being all that was sticking out of the snow!!!! HILARIOUS!!! It looks like he is swimming!!! And the picture where he is asking if you aren't going to throw a snow ball!!! His little face is so frosty with snow!!! He is an adorable little guy, isn't he. I understand why you would love him!! I do, and I never met him! Thanks for taking us on the walk with you. I really did enjoy this post!

Benny is just the most active little dog. He never seems to get enough of any kind of play...especially if it deals with water in any form. The last photo is perfect. Of course, the "hurry-up" photo seems more true to life.

Great photos--I always love watching my dog run in the snow... when he was younger he'd dig his nose in the snow and kick it up and snap at the snow as it falls. The dog also loves to catch popcorn!

that photo of him sticking his head up out of the snow is too frikkin funny!! he's gotta be a canadian dog to be able to do his thang in that much snow!

What a happy dog! Always a thrill to see Benny's adventures. I'd like to play in the snow like that, too. Unfortunately no real snow here this year, just a dusting one night. Maybe next year...

What a sweet little chap that Benny is. Such an expressive face and I loved the one where he was relieving himself with just the head showing. How clever to get such privacy!

Walks with you are always pleasant as you put a good story with your walk. Some how or other dogs really like snow. They love to plow through snow and you showed Benny right up to his neck.

I think there's an arctic fox beating in the heart of Benny he's fearless in the depths of that magical white stuff - definitely no snow bunny is he*!*

Loved seeing your captures in the previous post - the hunter and his starling and that scoop of ice cream roof - amazing.

Hi Hilary, I loved taking the tour with you and Benny - the bright sun shine reflection og the snow, against the blue skies is very beuatiful! And poor Benny when he fell into the whole ... seeing only the top of his head!

Lots of fun photos of a GREAT dog!

The snow is certainly deep and fresh in these images. I liked the photo of the bridge and also the last one of Benny in the sunlight.

All are very good and certainly look very much like Canada! Today (Monday) we are getting snow again.
