Dancing With the Heart & Posts of the Week

Dancing with the feet is one thing,
but dancing with the heart is another
~ Unknown

As promised in my previous post, I'd like to introduce you to the little girl who caught my eye at the wedding. She more than had my attention - I could hardly tear my camera away from her while she was out on the dance floor. I don't know her name, nor do I even know who she belongs to but I found her very entertaining. And adorable.

I'm sure you'll agree.

cutie2
She was a bit tentative at first. She seemed to be sizing up the situation. To dance or not to dance? Am I being watched? Photographed? Do I care? (I was halfway across the room when I snapped these photos so she really wasn't aware of me.)

cutie3
Before long, she started to move with the music. Feeling the rhythm, she began clapping her little hands and tapping her sparkly feet.

cutie5
She pirouetted, jumped, bowed and swung. She had the moves, this little one.

cutie6
She danced alone...

cutie11
With partners..

cutie7
And with gusto!

cutie8
She owned that dance floor.

cutie9
And she totally rocked it!

This was one little kidlet who danced with her feet and her heart.

How Sweet!!!

Once again I made the list...which is way too flattering...but it was a very honest post. What is the lens that you use to get such a good shot from across a dark room? Your flash carries very well also.

Love, love, love her expressions....
They reveal her heart, and she has heart!
Beautiful job, Hilary.
Thank you for sharing your talents with me.
Thank you, also for the POTW. I am honored to be among those included.

I looked at the beautiful church in your last post – what a wonderful place to be married. This little girl indeed must have had a great time that she will remember. I still remember my father’s cousin wedding in Paris when I was four years old – I think that is when I started to love dancing. I am behind as usual after several trips so I have to visit all my friends’ blogs who left comments but I’ll come back and visit the blogs you listed.

What great photos. I covered the annual pig spleen reading last December (you know, where they forecast the weather for the next six months by reading pig spleens?) and there was a young boy dancing in the living room. I took numerous photos and not one was worth while. You're a good photographer.

And thanks for the POTW.

(Yes, pig spleen reading is a thing.)

That little girl is utterly delightful. Her sparkly shoes are perfect for dancing to the music and with her heart.
Love that quote.

That little girl was certainly enjoying herself.
I found your blog via a comment you left on another blog. It is so nice to meet another Canadian blogger, who is also from Ontario, who is also in the same county as me. Your header is gorgeous. We are great bird watches and love walking by the Bay of Quinte.
Have a lovely weekend.
The link on my name takes you to a back door entry into my site, which is a self hosted Wordpress one and I can't link directly to it.

Thank you for POTW AWARD! A wonderful surprise and I feel very honoured being in such great company! Congratulations to all other winners!

It is also a lovely reminder of the times with David McMahon. Time flies, so along ago and yet it feels as if it was only yesterday.

The little girl is adorable.
