That Beautiful Season... Summer

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.

I know my visits are few and far between, these days. I've not been home much but I did have the foresight to schedule blogs posts for the past several days. I hope to catch up with all of you very soon, and create a few more posts - so I can spend some more time away from home/at Frank's.

In the spirit of birds and worms and such, the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Beautiful and refreshing photos.

Well planned and thought out posts like this are very worth while so if you take more time that is completely acceptable.
I always liked Shel Silverstein. he always amazes me with the variety of material he produces.

The whole of the pictures is serene and damp.....from a desert rat's perspective such as mine.

Shel Silverstein's quote is delightful. Yes, if I was a worm I would sleep late.
Stunning photos. I especially like the one with the quote about love comforting like sunshine after rain.
Enjoy your time away. It definitely refreshes the soul.

Every one of these is just spectacular, my friend. How do you do it? The quotations are perfect, too...especially the one about the advisability of the worm's sleeping late. :)

Beautiful words to go with beautiful images. I agree with Rose Kennedy. It's been so long since I've seen rain, I about forgot what it looked like. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm laughing at myself: I'm so thoroughly a dog groomer that I had a strong urge to grab that chipmunk and cut his nails!

Hilary, you really have a knack with your camera that I don't have. At least we have one thing in common. We both watch The Big Bang Theory;-)

O, I'm bad.

A lovely collection, and the hummingbird is a wonderful catch, but this time it's the quotations that get me.

Red Emma, Shel Silverstein, and Zep all in one set. Awesome. I love it.

And for some reason, I think Jewel Akens' The Birds and the Bees would work. That's what's in my mind anyway.

Wonderful Hilary.

I especially liked your sunshine after the rain images. I have always enjoyed that perspective.

I had to take my own photos for a professional brochure one time and despite being an amateur, I was really happy with one shot--a college campus path just after a heavy downpour. The light made me look good.
