There are few pleasures in life greater than the unabandoned joy of stomping through a puddle, and your pictures capture this wonderfully. And thanks so much for including me on your list this week. It means a lot.

It's official! I have got to get a pair of yellow and blue rubber boots for puddle jumping. Love this photos, HIlary.
Thanks,

Love, love, love those yellow rubber boots! That brings me back about 35 years ago when my eldest was a little boy. I bought a pair of yellow rubber boots for him that look exactly the same! Back in those days, they cost 50cents. Yup, and they were passed down to his little sister and two cousins. I sure got a lot for my money back then. LOL!

Thanks for setting me straight on the cormorant/loon pic. I guess I hoped it was a loon. I thought it might be a loon. I wished it was a loon. Sounds looney? Hahahaha.
Happy summer.

Oh yeah, puddle splashing is fun, no matter how old you are. LOL!

I'm always impressed by the quotes you use. I like how all the pictures of the kids were from behind,

Thanks for this happy blog Hilary. In the right circumstances kids and water go well together. I loved the quotes you used - very appropriate! - Dave

I'd completely forgotten how much we all enjoy the rain when we're children, but your wonderful shots have brought it all back. As someone who absolutely loathes the rain its a timely reminder that yes, once I used to actually enjoy it! Lovely shots

Nothing makes a puddle look more delicious than a little kiddo and a little doglet! Too sweet! I'm in love with rain since we've had so little this summer. It's finally finding it's way to us...Yeah!

The kid being chased by Bennie is a staggeringly good shot. I can envision that one in all sorts of places - greeting card, calendar, advertising...
