We find delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Nearly two years ago, I posted some photos of my neighbour's niece, Lynzie. We have many adorable children who live on our street. I've shown you their faces before and I will again. They're beautiful little people. For today's post, the focus is back on Lynzie.
If my math is correct, Lynzie is just about four and a half now. And I still think she's still one of the most photogenic kidlets on the planet. Tell me if you don't agree. I dare ya!
Here she is - two years older than last time and every bit as cute.
Children are a great comfort in your old age -- and they help you reach it faster, too. ~ Lionel Kauffman
Children in a family are like flowers in a bouquet: there's always one determined to face in an opposite direction from the way the arranger desires. ~ Marcelene Cox
There's nothing that can help you understand your beliefs more than trying to explain them to an inquisitive child. ~ Frank A. Clark
I take my children everywhere, but they always find their way back home. ~ Robert Orben
Never raise your hands to your kids. It leaves your groin unprotected. ~ Red Buttons
You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance. ~ Franklin P. Jones
One thing they never tell you about child raising is that for the rest of your life, at the drop of a hat, you are expected to know your child's name and how old he or she is. ~ Erma Bombeck
I hope you enjoyed the many faces of Ms. Lynzie

That one is a little actress!
Ah, she's a charming beauty - as is her sister, and her cousins. :)
Great portraits, cute kid.
Lovely work Hilary. She was well directed. Pro quality shooting, get a release form and quick.
Good shooting Hilary, and yes, she is beautiful.
Adorable!
Hilary you have done it again. You have put a great big smile on my face and it won't go away. Thank you.
haha she is...and so expressive....and such big eyes and cute smile...very nice...
The faces of children are always so honest.
One of my favourite paintings at the Des Moines Art Center is one of a brother and sister done by John Singer Sargent. It was done in 1881 and is a portrait of Edouard and Marie-Louise Pailleron.
The story is that after many hours and several days of posing, the children threw their very nice clothes out the window as they were so happy to be done (and they sound like they may have been a bit spoiled ...!!).
Oh, so many faces. She's adorable!
Oh my goodness gracious! You captured a spunky little girl here. She is a beautiful child I must admit. That last shot melted my heart. Wonderful!
She is indeed beautiful and photogenic. I love her coloring and myriad expressions. Wonderful young person, thank you for introducing us! :-0

She's a hoot! Love the color of her hair. I do enjoy an expressive child with a lot of personality and you are the photographer to capture her. :)

Great quotes! A real ham in the photos and yes, very photogenic kid.
I think the next-to-the-last shot is my favorite, but that last one is adorable, too. She's a good subject, for sure.

What a delightful little lady!
Great portraits, a nice "mother's day" gift for the girl's mom who will cherish these photos for a lifetime.
Absolutely adorable and expressive little girl and your photos of her exude charm and enchantment! Loved the quotes you chose to along with the pix and cut through the sweetness with a bit of tart humour...not that I'm calling you a tart!
She really has the most delightfully expressive face!
She is very photogenic. Maybe she will be a model as some of her poses suggest!

Hilary: She is a doll! You have captured her personality with your amazing photography. :)
She is absolutely lovely Hilary. And well done to you for taking such wonderful photographs and adding appropriate quotes. I specially liked the one about "Never raise your hand to a child. It leaves your crotch unprotected" and the appropriate photo with it - Dave
So adorable in these shots she almost made me regret not having any kids. ALMOST.
Nice work -- and what a funny little subject she makes!

Okay, I agree. She is adorable. And so photogenic.
You have captured the many moods of a child. Nice pictures!
I have a sneaking suspicion that Linzie knows how pretty she is. She certainly likes to have her picture taken.
I love the quote and the photos. Many thanks, you've made my week! :-) There's still hope in the world.
Greetings from London.
She looks like a wee Irish lass unfolding into a rare gem - a beauty!
Nice photography. Sometimes its hard to get them to stand still, never mind pose. She's a real sweetie!
Oh my, her personality just shines! Those brown eyes and strawberry blond hair are adorable. Your photography skills had an easy day with her as your subject! Great Mother's Day post!

So adorable! And I love that Erma Bombeck quote at the end:)
What a beautiful child! Especially loved that shot with her eyes closed pushing back her hair. Your photography was awesome!
How expressive she is!
I noticed that there is a smile within her...whether she is physically smiling or not. I can see and feel it through the photographs. What a little doll....
As a former redhead (it has all either fallen out or gone grey) I find her an adorable example of my species. As always, your photos capture all of the beauty of your subject.
LOVED IT~!!
