Snoopy and No Posts of the Week

Sorry folks, but I haven't spent much of the last couple of weeks in front of my computer, so I have collected very few links for the POTW. I'll just have to hang onto them and include them with my next one.

snoopy
This beautiful boy is Snoopy and he belongs to one of my neighbours. One of these days, I'll have to capture a video of him because no kidding, this dog smiles when he greets people. It's a bit of a goofy look but he consistently bares his teeth in a totally non-threatening way and smiles. Snoopy had other things on his mind on this day. He was watching some of the action on the street. Kids were doing stuff and he needed to be a part of it.

snoopy3
Off he goes.. those long legs of his can gallop.

snoopy2
Luckily, Snoopy is more of a smiler than a kisser because that long tongue of his would pack a lot of drool. Glance back to the first picture and you'll see what I mean.

snoopy4
There's what he wanted. A perfect catch. Unfortunately, the kids spent the next minute trying to get Snoopy to return the ball. Where's the fun in that eh, Snoop dog?

HAh! His run reminds me of a gazelle. Looks graceful :). Sigh... I want a dog!

Hi there - he looks like a crazy (in a good way) kind of dog!

I think the wood ducks are a case of same name, rather different bird.

It doesn't take much to make a dog happy. It's no wonder they are man's best friend.

He looks like a big, goofy sweetheart. Those long legs remind me of Abraham Lincoln's comment about how a man's (or in this case, a dog's) legs have to be long enough to reach the ground.

We used to have a smiling dog named Penny. She scared a lot of people until they realized it was a grin and not a snarl.
My dear departed Marly used to smile occasionally too, but it wasn't the habit it was for Penny.

I enjoyed your series, hard to get that ball back from some dogs.

Oh Snoopy is AWESOME!

I visited an alpaca farm while on vacation last week. In the second and third picure, Snoopy bears a resemblance to them. :)

Snoopy looks a great, fun companion... Maddox never wants to give the ball back either, go figure!

Snoopy looks like a fun dog. Have he and Benny met yet? That could be interesting.

I had a Doberman once that smiled. She only did it once in all the time I had her, and that was when I was scolding her about something. She sat right down in front of me and gave me a sheepish grin. Who could stay mad in the face of that? :)

What a big goober!! Is this a Scottish deerhound? Long legs and long tongue make for some interesting photos. Great captures!

Not only is this guy a smiler, he's got an interesting background by the looks of him.

Does Snoopy ever hang with Benny? These pups seem to have equally large and lovable personalities.

Hi, Hilary! An unusual looking dog, but he exudes the carefree fun of summer!

Dave said...

He's a big fella Hilary. Sometimes it's hard to understand a dog's sense of humour, not wanting to give back the ball... - Dave

He's precious! My Belle smiles like that - the happier she is, the more she grins (and wiggles) until she ends up sneezing because her nose is so squinched! But Snoopy seems to have a bit of my Max in him with that tongue and drool capacity. :)
