Going, Going, Gone and the Mini Posts of the Week

Here are a few photos of Benny doing one of the things he loves best - killing balloons. (That's Frank son #1 in the last pic.)

Gone!

And now, without further delay, here are the Posts of the Week.

Because I've been away, the Posts of the Week are fewer than usual. I'm hoping to be away again next week and so they'll probably suffer for the next couple of weeks - perhaps most of the summer. I'll keep posting what I can, when I can and hope that you kind folks will point out the great ones that I might be missing.

I won't name a top POTW this week because there are so few, and I'm not even going to categorize them this time either. I'm getting very lazy in my old age.

The icon below is yours for the taking if if your blog post is named below.

In no particular order, the Posts of the Week go to:

When I look at your photos I wonder if I should lay aside my point-and-shoot, and learn to use my hubbies amazing Nikon.

I love how you capture Benny in mid-air!

Great action shots! Have Benny's bones in his back legs been replaced with high-tension springs?

Your Benny may be small, but he has the heart of a lion! My Jake is simply terrified of balloons! That last shot is priceless, love the expression on Frank's son's face, we can literally SEE him flinch from the bang!

I am truly touched and beautifully surprised by Cricket's recommendation, thank you so much for posting it, what a wonderful way to open my day - I feel all warm and fluffy inside now!

That dog is nuts! I am LOL. I still have yet to see a picture where all 4 of his paws are on the ground!

When I was growing up we had this poodle (named Alex) that was mixed with insanity. He used to do things just to make us laugh. And my god the energy!

He never got tired. Ever. We lived in a remote and very small neighborhood. He was a legend. We used to "take him for walks" by driving around the block and he would run beside the car. Most of the time he would beat us home. If we kept driving he would keep running. If he ever did get around to resting all we had to do was whisper his name and he was off again.

The pictures of Benny remind me of him.

Fantastic photos Hilary, and thanks for the recognition with your POTW.

One of our kids fav Internet videos is the jack russell that pops balloons and appeared on one of the late night talk shows. They laugh everytime.

Off to visit your other winners...

Benny is such a great dog, and he sure knows how to jump with his whole body! Captured perfectly, as usual.

I remember some photos of Benny indoors last year taking on a balloon. Nice pictures showing Benny pursuing the balloon still.

I will check out your recommendations. I read Suldog already and will check out what Cricket recommends. Hope you are having a great week.

If you want to get my attention, all you have to do is post pictures of Benny. I think he is so cute -- he makes me want to get one like him. Now I just have to convince the other half of this household. Not holding out much hope though because, as the old saying goes, "You can always tell a German, but you can't tell him much!" :)

Hilary, I had to call my husband for this series, and we both burst out laughing. What joy! Now, of course I want to know did you hand-hold the camera or use a tripod? I rarely use a tripod, but as I get older (and older) it's harder to hold the camera absolutely still. I thank you for including me in the illustrious company of POTW - I appreciate it.

Go Benny! He made me laugh out loud. I can see that he's a very happy fellow and the pics are great! The delay on my camera screws up shots like this.
I am very honored by being mentioned here! Completely surprised and delighted. Thanks to you and to Cricket for mentioning me!
You can bet I'll be checking out the others. I love to read as well as write. So many wonderful tales out there! =:)
