pretty in pink...i dont know that i have ever seen pink helicopters like that...lovely pics...we used to have these white and pink poofball flowers on a tree...cant think of what it was off hand...happy sunday hilary!
I have this hunch that pink might be the color of Happiness, and now I'm sure of it! I like those Bleeding Hearts marching together down the stem.
The bleeding hearts and the other flower shot are particularly nice but they're all good. (Bit of a stretch calling watermelon pink, though.) ;)

Whatever the origin pink cannot be faulted, it is soft, girlie, and a real man looks fab. in pink.

Funny how we all seem to have color phases in our life. I recall my daughter at one time asking me why everything in my closet was pink. Whew... glad I outgrew that stage in fashion. It looks quite nice on your flowers though. :-)

Pretty in Pink .. I dont think there are many on whom pink is not flattering .. in nature and art ... especially in little girls... my god daughter and the daughters of friends all went through the I only wear pink stage ... now they're true NewYawkers and only wear black.
The dewdrop picture amazed me.
Even my #2 Son loved pink.
I love the deep blue of that dish next to the pink watermelon.
I have gone through different phases of pink, purple, blue, green & turquoise.
I love all those colours. Together or separate!
My granddaughters both started off by loving girly-girl pink but the older one is now quite a tomboy and hates the colour.
Her younger sister obviously still likes pink but goes around telling everyone that she has *gone off* it. After all........ she gets told all the time that it is for girly girl babies!

Ya gotta love the Miley Cyrus quote. Beautiful images. Favorites include the bleeding hearts and that beautiful cluster of pink flowers, but that fuzzy ball on the long stem, with water droplets...that has its own unique beauty.

I like pink, but, not as much as I used to. Lovely photos, I especially like the bleeding heats and the emerging poppy.
I have a watermelon in my refrigerator right now. It is lovely. I have tasted it, and it is good.
Only you, my dear, could take a photo of watermelon and have me lusting for yours over my real and present one.

Funny, but I was recently reading an article that said at the turn of the century, pink was the color for boys and blue for girls. It gave excerpts from fashion mags of the time &c. saying that pink was the "stronger color" while blue was "more delicate" and better suited for girls. Interesting, I thought.
My wife and I had a bit of an argument over pink as well. My younger son requested his b'day cake be pink and yellow. The Mrs disapproved. I figured it's his b'day, wotthehell?
It didn't hurt that I was the one who would actually bake the cake, but he got his pink cake.
All are great, but the one with the Audrey Hepburn quote is my favorite.

• Cricket, Watermelon Man works for me. I suspect that just about any colour could be interpreted as male or female depending on culture. And we certainly know that fashion evolves.. though the pink/blue thing has stuck around for a while now. I'm of the same mind as you when it comes to not worrying about gender "roles" when they're still kidlets. Why is it that sons can have stuffed animals or action figures but not dolls? Why encourage/support gun play for boys but not nurturing? It's so silly. Anyway... thanks always for stopping by, my friend. :)
