The following photos were taken earlier in the year when my son's cat, Hunter was still visiting.
Welcome to The Royal Cat Castle!
Ummm.. excuse me, Ben. What part of Cat Castle did you not understand?
Skitty (Prince Purrsalot) reclaims his throne.
Zephyr (The King of Relaxation) would prefer the royal boudoir.
And Hunter (The Prince of Pounce).. he just wants everyone to know that he's king of the castle.
Unimpressed, Zephyr opts to doze, once again.
The Prince of Pounce readies himself to leap from the tower - evoking fear in the kingdom.
But he's just young and restless and bold and beautiful (soaps, anyone?), and there is no need to usher him to the dungeon (this time).
The sun pours through the castle oriel, and all is well, as Prince Purrsalot and The King of Relaxation lounge about the courtyard.
Day is done.

These are all perfect. I just hope the furniture is but a few scratch marks are a small price to pay.
Amazing shot mid-pounce!
All so sweet; you have really captured the beauty and spirit of Cat.
POTW? YES!!! of da month

OMFG the cat jumped from THERE?!
Cats rule and dogs drool.
Man, Hunter sure can get up high.I have 2 who come in more and more, but like to hang in the stable and hunt when it is nicer. With a pet door it is open game to go in and out, but my Lily dog sometimes herds them away from me.
Benny !!!!
Of course I love cats but there's Benny
Funny and very cute cat pictures. I liked his throne on top of the cupboard.
Another great,thematic post.
Ever the best! Love the prose, love the furry friends. Every hair on SweetBennster is glistening. What an action shot! WOW!
You take marvellous photos, Hilary!
I love love LOVE your furry family, Hilary. And thanks for including a picture of Benny, just because. Thank you for the great pictures. Merry Christmas to all! :-)
Hunter, just after takeoff, is a GREAT picture. Cats just amaze me with their confidence and competence.
I feel your pain Bennie.
What wonderful pussycats.
adorable. all of them. :)
Your cats tell a big story. Nice shot of the cat jumping off the hutch.
HAHA...looks like my house. The higher the perch, the better!
That photo of Zephyr looks like my Charcoal on my post today! Wow!
Cat post always make me want to sneeze. ;-0
"Prince of Pounce."
Like it.
Stealing it.
:)
They are such utterly adorable ultimate forms of life on the planet.
And they know it.
Dogs do love a cat perch if they can commandeer one. ;) Of course I do love cat pics!! ;)
Great cat-ptures, especially mid-pounce...terrific and fitting choices of names of the inhabitants of the cat castle. Merry Christmas!
Their home surely is their castle!
As for soap titles, i liked the kid to watched with her Grandmother and told Mom, when she came home, that they'd watched "The Young and The Rest of Us"!
OK, so how did Sir Pouncealot even get up there? He must have some mighty springs in those back legs.
Your cat's aliases are purrfect!
Nice pictures. :-)
♥ Adorable captures ♥
Love your adorable kitties. They are indeed the king and prince of their domain.
What an amazing feat of photography. Especially the pouncing in seemingly slow motion.
Fantastic!

awwwww
wuved deese shots
I'm a pushover for a cat.
LOVE these photos!!
Cats are so regal; if you don't think so, just ask 'em.
Hugs,
J.
Cat dander... yuck~!
Benny can do without the high flying and sleeping types and surround himself with doggone good pals.
Btw... great photography! :D
How long did you have to wait for that fur flying mid-air shot? Great!
What a fun post, full of furballs and flair. There is something so cool about felines who get along. And yay for Ben, hanging with the royalty of the castle.
Beautiful animals...so very graceful.
Que série de fotos mais fofa!!!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and a bright and beautiful New Year, Hilary!
I once heard that dogs rule and cats drool, but these photos tell a different story!
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!!! Sorry I've been a bit absent lately.
Such beautiful Cats! You've captured them so naturally and with great skill. I enjoy their names, Hilaru!
I always have to look twice at Zephyr...dead ringer for Squeak! In all the years we've had Squeak, she's never climbed on anything or anyone! She does love a good nap these days...as soon as the cold air arrives, she hits her bed! Great shots of your lovely feline family!
Awww - what sweet shots!
What cute names! I have an all kitty post as well. Great minds think alike.
they are all so beautiful … i love when our two boys sleep head to head on the window sill ..
They are all adorable. But poor Benny... totally outnumbered!
Hehehe I love those cat shots. I've had a number of cat companions through the years, but none now, as I'm sure a new kitten would probably outlive me! So I have to make do with Leon (OlderSon's stand-up comedy cat) and Jo-Jo (OlderSon's scaredy cat who lives in the basement).
Happy Hannukah and Happy Christmas to you and your family, and I wish you health and happiness and lots of blogging throughout 2015. One of these days I'm going to pay a visit Maynooth, and if you are ever in the vicinity of Sunny Stouffville..... you know what to do!!!
ha. it is funny...our boys got our cat a bed for christmas...he wont lay in it when it is on the floor...but if we put it up on the couch next to us...he gets right into it and snuggles down...
i hope you have a lovely christmas hilary
wow, such a fun post! hehe loved seeing your adorable furry friends.
Happy Hanukkah!Happy Holidays!
lots of love xoxoxo
Ahh, love me some cats!!! I especially love to enjoy them from somewhere else so there is no litter box to clean or smelly cat food cans to deal with, so I really appreciate you sharing the joy!
Beautiful series… the last photo is my favorite, what a cutie!!
Beautiful cats! Happy Hanukkah
Adorable shots! We have dogs but no cats except for a stray who seems to think he belongs in our yard. The dogs do not think so.
As I always comment when you showcase such things, you take the best photos of felines. The details you capture are unlike anything I see in the work of others. I can readily sense the warmth of each cat, the texture of fur, the relative spikiness of whiskers. Well done.
Incredible action shot! Very well taken.
