I went into a French restaurant and asked the waiter, 'Have you got frog's legs?'
He said, 'Yes'
So I said, 'Well hop into the kitchen and get me a cheese sandwich.'
~ Tommy Cooper
This little guy wasn't doing much hopping around. But he did pose nicely for me while I snapped a few photos.
Have you kissed any frogs lately?
A different frog on a different day.
A wee nudge to get those hopping legs in gear.

It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.
~ J. R. R. Tolkien
My friend, Carol Anne and I were walking through my local park one day. There was a small crowd gathered at one point along the path, and though we couldn't see the object of their attention at first, curiosity got the better of my camera lens and before I knew it, I was snapping photos of a young bearded dragon named Stella.
She was as lovely as a member of her species could possibly be and quite tame. She let me pet her scaly head and back before her person felt it was time to dress her...
Who knew that Stella was a biker babe?
Dressed alike, the two of them were just born to be wild.

If you're still with me, I'd like to thank you very much. In fact I'd like to thank you for exactly six years of stopping by and visiting my little corner of the blogosphere. It's all of you wonderful people who make it such a fun endeavor. I treasure each and every one of your kind, supportive and warm words. Thank you.
On to year seven!

YAY for 6 years! i'm grateful to have found you (or vice versa) in the last couple of them. :)
love the biker chick!!! sweet frogs, too!
This is another wonderful post. Stella is aptly named.
woot...congrats on 6 years...that is awesome! ha the lizard is cool in its biker vest...frogs are def my friends...we had a large toad on the porch the other day...woke the boys up to come see it...
Congratulations on 6 years of blogging. Awesome.
I love your blog and your photos. Wonderful photographer, you are....
I wish I was born to be wild, but instead I was born to be annoying. I don't think there are any great songs celebrating that! Great pics.
Wow! Six years. Six years full of gorgeous images. Bravo, Hilary!
I haven't been with you for the entire six years, but the years I've been following you are, well, stellar. Just like Stella! May we know each other for many, many more. :-)
Happy Anniversary!
Ribbit.
:)
How sweet Hilary! You and your creatures. :) Congratulations on 6 years of blogging entertainment, education, enlightenment, beauty, and friendship.
Congrats on 6 years of making us smile Hilary.
We sneak up on big frogs as well hoping to see them before they splash into the water. The kids enjoy the challenge.
Keep on posting and sharing. I always feel like I am walking along beside you as I scroll through each post. This one is no exception.
I have been blogging since Nov. 2007....of course, no one ever visited mine for the first 5 years....then somehow, I found Moannie....and she started visiting me and encouraged me so much....did you visit her blog? I can't remember if that's how I found you....because you were on her blog? Anyway, I miss that sweet woman still. It's fixing to be a year in October since she left her earthly body. I know the kind, caring person she was, she's watching us from Heaven....and I'll bet she's following our blogs.
I'm glad I found you, too. I am inspired by your pictures the way Moannie inspired me with her words. Congratulations on six years.
And I adore the biker outfit for the dragon lizard!
Awesome shots of your frogs. You have to be patient with these critters. Sometimes they sit still as they think you can't see them and that's probably right most of the time.
Yes, I see Moannie's picture up there....couldn't remember if that was how I found you...it was...and now I remember her blog was the blog of the month or week...whatever Blogger used to have....and when I visited her and read her stories, I was captured by her warmth and humor instantly. :)
Congrats on reaching a milestone! And thanks for the pictures of stella, the Biker Chick!
And before you get to meet the prince, you have to kiss a lot of frogs. Or so I'm told.
Blessings and Bear hugs!

Happy anniversary! I feel blessed to have bumped into you out here in blogland! These are priceless photos, Hilary! But I kind of suspected Stella was a biker chick. lol
It's always a joy to visit your blog. Happy blog anniversary. Great photos!
Happy birthday blog! The frogs are tremendous, but the dragon, it would be better if it was naked!!!!!!!!
A Ribbity Blogger Birthday to You
I am thinking that it might be a tad nicer to kiss a frog than Stelllllllllll-laaaaaaaa. Your photos are so delightful. It is a gift to follow your blog.
Congratulations on six years. And thank you for giving me so much joy via your excellent photos.
But does a dragon really need a vest? Oh, well. I guess if it had a problem with it, it would make it known.
Well, you have certainly delighted me for about four years. and these are no exception.
doesnt time just fly on by .. i remember the first post of yours that i read ... it was about the raccoons in the attic .. and i was sent your way by our dear friend David McMahon!
Well, imagine that! And i thought it was unusual to get a cat to wear a harness or clothes!
Congrats on six years!! :)
Stella is one stunning little being.
I'm more of a toad person, myself, but those were some pretty frogs. ;)
Congratulations on six years of blogging! That's six years of some of the most fabulous photos I've ever seen! You rock!
I LOVE Stella, Hilary!
Congratulations on 6 years. I am very glad I found you here.
Wonderful shots, they look great.
Somehow, I nearly missed this post. I'm glad I didn't, though. Your photography is always so crisp...so sharp. The frogs pictures are excellent examples of that. And I love the last picture of Stella.
Oh...and congratulations on six years of blogging. I was reading your blog before I started blogging, because of our mutual friend, Sandra. So I've probably been with you since 2008 or 2009.
Happy blogging birthday! Your pictures are amazeballs :) Also, love the Tommy Cooper quote
Lovely pictures! But I really like the quotes you pick for your posts. This one was superb.
Congratulations on completion of 6 lovely years!
Happy Blogaversary Hilary!
I think it's amazing we have been looking at your wonderful ever changing array of photographs for 6 years.
Love the close ups of the frog but your Bearded Dragon and his fashion has got to be a first for me.
What a wonderful world...
As you know I have been super busy with a wedding and all. Anyway, that view from the spare bedroom is divine and I am already thinking about what to pack! Brave your new adventure with peace, patience, and bravery. You will do just fine.
Congratulations my friend! You have a loyal following because you have managed to find the magic that engages so many of us.
I'm blessed to have been following you for more than a few of those years. Thank you for keeping up the tradition!
Your 6th anniversary of blogging and my youngest son's 14th birthday occurred on the very same day. The fact that you posted animal pictures is icing on the celebratory cake, since the two of you both love animals.
Congratulations!
PS: Fabulous photos, too!
Stella's great, but I love the froggie. We hardly see any here.
These are beautiful, they're so sharp!!
I just found out you are moving to your new place on the lake, congratulations.
Looking forward to some wonderful pictures once you are all settled.
Oh my. I loved this post! The cool froggy pics and the amusing quote. You were inspired today.
Those details are OMG!
What a coincidence, August marks my sixth year of blogging! Together we shall journey more. :)
Wow. Congratulations on six years, Hilary!! That is quite a feat. May you enjoy much more bloggy fun.
Those frogs are quite handsome, and Stella looks awesome in leather. She could only be a biker chick ;-)
Your photos turn out the way I wish mine would. They are so crisp and sharp. Frogs in my area are a rare find find compared to a few decades ago when they were plentiful.
magnifique, sur le coup ça me donne l'envie d'en adopter aussi un
Six years of posting wonderful pictures. Well done and congratulations.
A splendid idea to end the first six with pictures of a dragon, what will you come up with after twelve?
Who knew there was a market for dragon biker gear? If only Stella could speak English (or we could speak dragon), the stories she could tell!
Thanks for six years of fabulous photos - may there be 60 more!
heheheh I love that biker babe.... thanks for reminding me to look at your blog!
Six years? Wow, but when I think of it, I must be getting near that total too.... however my pictures and nowhere near as interesting as yours and you even quote poetry too! Must say I loved the Tommy Cooper quote!!!!
happy 6th to you! happy happy to know and share with you!
your frog legs are awesome and wonderful quotes too.
i wonder what that round mark on it's check is? i will have to look it up.
oh my, the round spot is it's ears!
Happy 6 !!
love your frogs
Stella is a hoot, but I sure do love those frog photos.
Im so happy to be along on your journey. Beautiful photos as always.
Hilary, I'm so glad to have found you. On to year 7 indeed! You shall have a whole new environment after you move, and I look forward to seeing it through your lens.
I adore frogs. Your photos are wonderful. And that bearded dragon is super cool. I'm glad you had your camera with you.
a belated happy 6 years! so glad to have found you among all the blogs out there. here's to many more years of being blog buddies.
i LOVE stella and her biker babe harness. that is all sorts of awesome!
Love the froggy pictures. It looks like they have push buttons (or crop circles) on the side of their faces.
So how do you dress a bearded dragon lizard-thingy? Cute in a prickly sort of way. ;)
