Over and Under and The Posts of the Week

Just a couple of images to accompany the Posts of the Week.

dashboard frog
This little guy sits on Frank's dashboard. He adds more than a splash of colour to our drives. I snapped it while Frank went into the store to get a newspaper.

under the table
We had a decent lunch at a little restaurant near my place, one day. For some reason I was intrigued with getting a shot of the boots under the table. I grabbed this one on the sly.

And now, without further delay, here are the Posts of the Week. The icon below is yours for the taking if if your blog post is named as a POTW.

I don't think those boots were made for walkin' Hilary - Dave

The second picture reminds me of when I was little. I was always crawling round on the floor and a lot of people seemed almost as familiar to me by their shoes as by themselves! :)

Once again I send my thanks, Hilary - for introducing me to so many fine writers and for honoring me with POTW awards!

I love taking photos of strangers (and friends) when they are not looking .. and I find that photos framed like that one are always intriguing .. makes one wonder what the rest of the person is like ..

SWEET froggy... more people should surround themselves with a fun item here and there because they just plain make a person smile. And aren't her boots cute! I would so totally wear those if the feet would agree. :-))

You are such an amazing photographer; I always enjoy your pictures, over, under, out, and about. And your POTWs have a tendency to expand my reading list, but it's always appreciated. This is such a big world! The blogs are infinite, you help me to choose. Thanks! :-)

I am never disappointed by your photos. Such and excellent eye. I will soon head out to the POTW and congratulate them.

I don't think I've ever taken a picture of boots under a table before. So that one is very original.
Love the colours of the little dashboard creature.

Dear Hillary.....I seem to be unable to leave a comment here today. So I am noting you here. Thanks for doing this. Thanks for having fun while doing this. Thanks too, for your lovely notes.

It seems like that little froggy is looking straight into my eyes! Those boots are very cool, too...a clever capture.

Am off to wash my kitchen floor (have been putting it off all week so it really needs attention!) and then I'll read the latest POTW's!

Thank you, as always, for the bloggie reads!

I'm never sure if it is okay to photograph strangers... Obviously, yours passes the test (no real identifying marks)

Does Frank have a name for his Froggy? Goody - posts of the week.

What a charming frog! I too am strangely fascinated by the feet and shoes of people on the tubes and trains...

Michael Manning said...

Yes, the Frog! I find it wonderful that you have the sensitivity to reawaken us to the subtleties of life's positive side, Hilary! lol!!! :)

Thanks as always for the reading list! I can see why the boots were so intriguing - how often do you get such a perfect, well lit view of them when people are seated and wearing them?

Jayne said...

I read Elizabeth's piece--it was wonderful. Now I'm going to have to go congratulate her. And come back for more reads. Can imagine you sneaking that photo of the legs and boots. ;)

Hillary thanks again for the mention, you are too kind. Those are cool looking boots! I think I might have made a photo or two on the sly myself!
