A Photo to Share and Posts of the Week

Thanks everyone for understanding the delays in setting up the Posts of the Week. Summertime is unpredictable for me as we tend to get up to Frank's cottage when we can, and sometimes stay longer than originally anticipated. The rest of the season will probably be hit and miss.

This tiny ball of colourful feathers is a Ruby-throated Hummingbird which was just taking off from the feeder and on its way back to its perch. What we're seeing is the back of the bird, with wings and tail feathers splayed.
