Macro Bling and Posts of the Week

bracelet up close

I recently bought this colourful bracelet at a jewelry party held by my neighbour. It looks pretty clunky here but that's mostly because it was photographed fairly close up with Frank's fabulous macro lens.

bracelet
Here it is, resting on my knee - a bit more dainty than it first appeared (the bracelet - not my knee).

I've decided to make a small change to the Posts of the Week. Each week, I struggle to select a solitary, and occasionally two top posts. No more. Each of the posts that I select to include in the POTW are tops to me and I'm no longer going to single out one that I think might be better than the rest. I'll continue to categorize them in no particular order as you'll see below. Each and every one of them are top Posts of the Week.

And now, without further delay, here are the Posts of the Week. The icon below is yours for the taking if if your blog post is named as a POTW.

I think your new POTW format is great. I've oftentimes wondered how in the world you manage to pick just ONE.
Great photos. I have GOT to get me one of those lenses!
Congrats to all!

I like the results you are achieving with that lens.
Hand held as well. I can't manage hand held macro at all.

Jewelry parties are always fun! Love the colors on that bracelet. I'm honored to be mentioned. :) Looking forward to some good reads with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Good idea, Hilary. If a post is noteworthy, then it's in a class of it's own. I couldn't pick out a winner myself. Will try to visit all of them.

It's quite a change to see a bit of bling over here. I usually associate this blog with inspiration, not bling!

I have been enjoying your wonderful posts throughout the summer ... although I have been very quiet about it ;) Love your knee-high colourful gem of a bracelet! I'll enjoy checking your POTW links ...

Hopefully summer will hang on a bit longer - it took so long to get here!

Oh Hilary, I love that bracelet, it is so "me".;) I love all the colors and stones.;)) And that macro shot is stunning.
Congratulations to all those talented writers mentioned here today, will do my best to visit, but these days real life has taken over my virtual life, so I find myself out of time constantly.;)
Have a lovely midweek,
xoxo

THE BRACELET STOLE THE SHOW... I LOVE BRACELETS.. THE MORE COLORS THE MORE POSITIVITY EMERGES OUT FROM THEM TO MY VEINS I FEEL.

YOUR POST OF THE WK CATEGORIZATION IS VERY NICE SINCE I'M AN AVID READER I REALLY LIKED THE IDEA FOR THE READER TO CHOSE WHAT SHE WISHES TO READ!

ENJOY.

I meant to say that I love both images but the second one really grabbed me. See what you've done, getting me all flustered with the POTW selection? Thanks again!

Off to visit, although might take a while to get there. Picking one must be most difficult.

I like the bracelet. And this is the second blog I've seen today that utilizes the macro lens. Allows for such beauty.

Love the bracelet; I so often wish I could wear something like that, but I come out in a rash from just a couple of hour's wear if it's not silver or gold :(
I can understand how it must be very difficult to pick one post, so your new method is great.
