Posts of the Week

Before I announce the Posts of the Week, Saz of the blog formerly known as Fat, Frumpy and Fifty aka Fab, Feisty and Fifty has gone on a short hiatus from blogging. She wanted her friends to know that she'll be back again before too long.

Now on with the Posts of the Week.

The icon/award to the left here is yours for the taking if your blog post has been named as a Post of the Week - either as top post or as a runner up, today or in past weeks.

Hilary, I wanted to tell you something that will seem completely unrelated: We're having work done our house (because we are, as a group, insane) and yesterday my world was full of hammering, sawing, sawdust and noise. All for a good cause, mind you, and it already looks great, but it's a bit wearing.

Today there will be more of the same, carpeting ripped up, some tiling done, it promises to be another day of dirt and noise (and I do feel fortunate to be able to improve our home, please don't get me wrong).

Anyway (rambling on here, aren't I?), as I await the ringing of the doorbell, I came here and started visiting posts. Wonderful stories, fantastic pictures, even a young film-maker! Between the touching stories, and all the fun you just gathered together in one place, I'll likely hug the poor workmen when they get there, my mood has been so greatly jazzed up, thanks to these posts. I wouldn't have known about several of them, but for the links here. Thanks again, you make Wednesday mornings a very bright spot.

I commented on the posts, but did want to say here, what a great job by everyone and thank you all for pouring this neat material onto the internet.

Thanks for finding that neat material.

I have to agree with the first commenter...this is the lazy girl's way of reading great posts with little effort. (not that I'm lazy or anything, mind you!)
