About Town

We're off to the cottage for a few days. I'll respond to comments and resume visits to your blogs shortly after our return. Thanks everyone for stopping by!

A couple of weeks ago, we spent a few days exploring a nearby town. The following photos are all from that visit. Please remember to click on each one of them to enlarge.

We took a lazy stroll along this shoreline. The view was peaceful and relaxing. (please click to enlarge)

An old train track crosses over the creek. This view is of the bridge and support. (please click to enlarge)

Over on the shady side, trees line the shore, allowing sunlight to filter in. (please click to enlarge)

In the town, these steps cut through a block of shops, creating a scenic alleyway. (please click to enlarge)

Fresh-baked goodies called to me from a coffee shop display. I fought the urge to buy one and filled up with pixels instead of calories. (please click to enlarge)

After wandering through town, we found a pleasant little park, complete with baseball diamond and bleachers. I liked this shadow which fell from the surrounding fence. This photo and the one which folllows are for my baseball-playing bloggie friend Suldog. (please click to enlarge)

The spattered blue bleacher allowed us to pause and relax a bit before continuing our walk back to the car to go home. (please click to enlarge)

Shhh.. nobody tell Frank about this! (please click to enlarge)

Your photos are awesome. I love creeks. I thought the train track with the support beam was really cool. And you have much more will power than I would have had after seeing all those goodies. Have great fun at the cottage.

Love the photos Hilary! That is hillarious, the last photo of Frank, ha ha ha. The bleachers photo is great, it reminds me of going to softball games on hot summer nights!

I continue to be amazed by and delighted by your ability to find beauty in your surroundings, wherever you are. Love the fence shadows on the grass, and the flower bedecked pergola over the alley way.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Your taking us to a little town makes it just as inviting as all your great outdoors visits. I would have never dreamed I would want to walk in an alleyway by little stores and a bakery as I want to walk around your lake!

Thank you so much, Louise. You always have the kindest things to say. Very much appreciated. :)
