I'm in a bit of a blogging slump this week. Blame it on summer, real life and a new camera which is making me feel as if photography is rocket science. I'll probably have a few pictures from our recent stay at the cottage by tomorrow or the next day. I also hope to catch up with your blogs soon too.
Until then, I wanted to share this image. This young woman stepped onto the bus today and immediately made me smile. With her permission, I took this photo, which of course belongs on a blog.

LOL! It does belong on a blog - hope to see you soon.
Yes, we do!
Love it...where can I get one?????
Ha! Love it. :)
Btw, that new camera IS a rocket appliance! ;)
Oh, man!! (Ouch!). We started to call our blog, "As if You Care!!!" I care about yours! Thanks.
HA! Brilliant! Well, in a self deprecating sort of way...and don't we all need a little more of that?
That is hilarious. I feel like I should have that as the bi-line on my blog!
Not true. I care about all of my favorite blogs, including this one.
I've had that very thought often about mine. (sigh)
And why do I care??
And I do care about your blog or I wouldn't visit.
One brilliant tee-shirt I'd say! :-)
The headless woman would go well on my blog because I've lost my figure, my head, my money. What's all the talk about a tee-shirt?
Ahh but I do care about your blog. I too have slumps from time to time. I think it natural.
Well I care about your blog, Hilary!
Had to laugh at the tee shirt though!
Glad its not just me who gets these slumps..... that gives me hope!
thats funny!!!.. i think i ll put that snap in my blog.. but i want your permission for that!
Perhaps we should club together to get T-shirts printed that say ' We ALL care about YOUR blog '- then add a few URL's of our favourite ones!
Great T-Shirt! How nice of her to let you take a pic!
What model is that new camera?
Oh that is so cool! Don't worry about slumps Hilary - your blog is ALWAYS rich with words and pictures. I don't come till I know I have time to savour it, because your blog is like your favourite chocolate pudding. You wait till you're on your own and won't be disturbed for at least an hour, then you sit down and just savour it selfishly.
At least, that's how it is to me. Maybe I'm just a chocoholic. But your blog is 100% chocolate to me. :)
So don't worry about slumps. Go enjoy your own chocolate for a little while and re energise!
Trying to catch up on blog reading and it is driving me crazy...guess I care about too many blogs. I remember a NY comediane once saying something like if nobody cares about what you say why do you think they want to read your T-shirt?
The shirt sums it up for me some days.
I am right there with you...and I must have that shirt!
That's hillarious! When I get slumped out, I just post a photo!
That shirt is hilarious! Guess I need to remember that when I'm talking to non-bloggers......:)
nobody? :(
Now that's a fabulous shirt ... I may need one of those ... what kinda camera did you get? I am definitely shopping for one ....
I can certainly identify with that!!!!
priceless!!
I'm feeling the slump too, sometimes time away helps
I feel like that from time to time...I think it's just normal and healthy:) sometimes you have to just take a step back from everything. as for that tshirt...it rocks. I need it! too funny and ironic to pass up.
Very kind of her to let you share the t-shirt with us all. Of course it doesn't apply to yours.
T-Shirt saying NOT TRUE, of course, when applied to your wonderful writing/photos. However, I need a shirt like that, with a slight change of wording. I can wear it to my pity-parties.
I'm extremely curious about your new camera!! Will you tell all?
HAHAHAHA!!!!!! I REALLY want that Tshirt. Too funny. Hehehe.
Kind of funny that she just happened to step on the bus in that t-shirt!
• Thanks L of L. I'll be back in blogging form real soon. :)
• Thanks, Stevie. I wasn't too worried. :)
• Hilary, I have no idea. I probably should have asked her. :)
• Yup, Frank. I'll figure it out. It might take a year or two, but that would be the worst case Ontario. ;)
• Welcome Stickhorsecowgirls. "As If You Care" would be a funny blog name. Good thing we DO care. Thanks for stopping by. :)
• Too true, WIAW. Thanks for the visit. :)
• Ha, Bradley. We all think that from time to time. Thanks for dropping by. :)
• Thanks, Steph. I do too. :)
• Thanks, TSannie. We all think that way occasionally. And we all feel strongly about the blogs we follow. It's the non-bloggers who don't get it. ;)
• Pouty, that ought to give you plenty of blog fodder, eh? ;)
• Thanks, Travis. I agree that we all go through those slumps. Thanks for the kind words. I'll de-slump shortly :)
• Thanks, Maggie. I'm sure we're all there from time to time. I'm not too mopey about things. Mostly I just loved the t-shirt. Thanks for the kind words. :)
• Pranksy, as long as you link back with attribution to my blog, you can post the photo on yours. :)
• Jinsky, that sounds like a fun idea.. wearing your blogvertising. ;)
• Thanks, Cris. I appreciated her cooperation too. And I thought about giving her the URL to my blog but then again, I figured that she wouldn't care. ;) The camera is a Canon EOS 50D.
• Thumbelina, that is SUCH a sweet thing to say. I can't think of anything better to be compared to than chocolate pudding. You have absolutely made my day. Thank you for that. You're a sweet one, C. :)
• True, Tabor. I know the feeling of trying to keep up. The more blogs you read, the more new ones you find. And so many of them are great. Yours is always among them. :)
• For all of us, Leah. Thanks for stopping by. :)
• MPM, I wonder if that girl had any idea how many people she has wanting that shirt. Thanks for the visit. :)
• Rain, perhaps that single photo jolted my slump. I should have a new batch of them tomorrow. :)
• That's exactly it, Baggie. The rest of us co-bloggers all get it. It's the non-bloggers who wear those shirts. ;)
• Nah, Gary. :)
• I thought you'd appreciate the shirt, Daryl. The camera is a Canon EOS 50D.
• We all can at times, Cuzzie. :)
• Thanks, Dianne. I know you're right. :)
• Thanks, Chessa. I knew everyone would get a kick out of that t-shirt. A step back is wise advice. :)
• Thanks, Reb. Yes, I thought she was pretty sweet for allowing me to photograph it. :)
• Thanks kindly, Pat. But that shirt sure doesn't apply to yours either, so no pity parties! Sure I'll share.. the camera is a Canon EOS 50D :) Thanks for stopping by. :)
• Thanks, Kat. I'm glad you got a laugh out of it. :)
• I thought so too, Andrea. I was glad that I had my camera. :)
I care about yours!
Since I've braved it, my sentiments exactly. So many comments to make, and so little time to do it in!
New Camera! Cool! I've always loved your pictures before and thought you had a digital slr before you told me you didn't. It will be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes combined with your great eye.
oooh! a DSLR! definitely a fun new toy to fiddle around with! I've had mine for a year and I think I still don't know all the bells and whistles!
have fun! ;o)
Well, I care about your blog, and you care about my blog, so her t-shirt is wrong. Funny, though.
That's hilarious! Well, I care about your blog! Can't wait to see the photos taken with your new camera!
• Thanks, Nurturingwisdom. :)
• Redbush this is true. But the blogging world is usually pretty understanding. :)
• Thanks for the kind words, NJ. I'm back to square one with this camera. It's a different learning curve for me, so far more photos are being deleted than kept. I'll get there eventually though. Thanks for the encouraging words. :)
• Thanks, Cris. I expect it will be a long time until I even find some of the bells and whistles, much less use them. ;)
• Very true, Suldog. I did find it far more amusing than right. Especially where our blogging community is concerned. ;)
• Thanks, Cheffie. It looks like I haven't kept you waiting too long. Some of them are in the next post. :)
That is hilarious!! The best part is that on my UBERslow internet, I had to wait for it to load. I waited in anticipation of why this woman would be worthy of a photograph-- then I burst out laughing.
That's a great tee shirt! You're very brave, asking a strange young lady if you could take a picture of her chest, I don't think I would have the nerve.
Obviously, a whole lot of us care or we wouldn't bother to read or comment! But the t-shirt is funny. :)
Real life has been catching up with me, too. Breaks can be very good for curing the blog slumps.
* IBHH, I'm kind of glad that it worked out that way for you. I was considering putting some significant space between my text and the photo for that effect. I wish it hadn't been because of a slow connection though. Thanks for the visit, and I'm glad it gave you a laugh. :)
* Well, Shammie, it wasn't of her chest, specifically. Though I'll bet all the guys took their time reading the t-shirt. ;) And I did tell her that I wouldn't include her face so she was fine with that. :)
* Thanks, KC. I sure do know that there are slews of people who do care. It's mostly the non-bloggers who would own a t-shirt like that, but it's we bloggers who would get the good laugh out of it. I hope you get your own stuff sorted out soon. Thanks always for your visits. :)
That is funny. but not so true. I am always glad to visit your blog.
I am taking a class in rocket science, too. Humbling but not eternal!
Thanks kindly, Sandy. Good luck on your rocket science.. no doubt we'll all be enjoying the outcome soon. :)
Well...most people probably don't, but some do, and they're the important ones and I love this shirt because it reminds me to keep plugging along.
If you blog to gain the approval of others, that seems to be a lame game...
Blogging is therapy for me soul and the best I can hope for is that other people also enjoy the photos I post.
Jacob I agree with all that you said about blogging. There are plenty who care and many more who don't. I found the t-shirt amusing. Blogging is like the new home slides or movies of decades passed/past. :)
I hope you gave that young woman your blog address. I think you could make her doubt her shirt!
Wonderful t-shirt. Sometimes I wonder why I'm keeping the blog up, and then someone will comment on a post from two years or send me a text msg about a certain post, and it encourages me. Other days, I just want to chunk it. But thanks for being so diligent with yours. It's just lovely.
• Sandra, it crossed my mind to do so, but I believed by her t-shirt that she wouldn't have cared. ;)
• Thanks very much for the kind words, Anon. I'd have liked to have visited your blog in return. Hopefully you'll visit again with your blogging identity showing. Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
