Water Fun & Posts of the Week

I only have a few POTW choices, this week along with a couple of requests for best thoughts. I know some of you prefer it this way so that you can actually get around to reading them. I'll share a few photos with you first, though - as we usually do. Kick off your socks and shoes for a few minutes. We're going into the water.

train view
This is the view I have of Lake Ontario as seen through the window of the GO (Government of Ontario) Train on my way to Frank's place. You can see a bit of what the view from the opposite side of the train looked like reflected in the glass.

rinsing sand
During that visit, we took a day trip up to a nearby town. It was a lovely day and folks were enjoying the beach. This lady stepped into the water to rinse the sand from her feet before replacing her sandals.

testing the water
Her kids abandoned their sand castle attempts to enjoy the waves, instead.

swim in a swirl
Back home again, this little cutie surfaced from foraging, decorated in fine vegetation.

benny fetches
And what's a water post without Benny? Nothing more than a sharp stick in the mouth.

And now, without further delay, here are the Posts of the Week. The icon below is yours for the taking if if your blog post is named as a POTW.

BEST THOUGHTS NEEDED
FOR 2 BEAUTIFUL LADIES

Please send love, strength,

good vibes and prayers,
if you're so inclined
to our dear Moannie
who is fighting "the Fecker."

And please spare

more of the same for Hilary
my favourite, wonderful namesake
who had neurosurgery just yesterday
in order to slay the "Headache from Hell."

Thank you.

Water is a great background for many shots and subjects. Benny stole the show!

And beach time is fast coming to an end. The view from the train is neat when you show the reflection.

Thank you for clearing something up for me. I did not know (or, at least, had forgotten) that GO stood for Government of Ontario.

Long ago, when MY WIFE and I visited Toronto, we were reduced to helpless fits of childish laughter when we saw a bilingual sign in a train station saying "GO Trains - Trains GO". It sounded like a command from a Dick & Jane first grade reading primer.

Hilary, these are wonderful!
The first one is so beautifully composed, and the colors are amazing.
Benny is absolutely precious, and looks like he's having a wonderful time.

Congrats to all the POTW selections!! And a big THANK YOU to Hilary for including me in this fine bunch. I am very, very honored.

Your photos of the beach are so beautiful, and I love that you ended the series with Benny. He is such a delightful subject, always putting a smile on my face.

We made if thru Isaac's wind and rain. I was just without internet for a while. Just have a mess to clean up outside. Whew!

That first picture is absolutely gorgeous, the duck is precious, and Benny, of course, goes without saying is as adorable as usual.

Thanks for including me here. I am honored big time!

The lake looks like a sea to me. It is as grand in its way as Benny is in his. That boy rocks.

Moannie is already in my prayers, but I'll add Hilary to them as well. Congrats to the POTW and love that last shot of Benny!

What a beautiful collection of summer scenes, Hilary. I particularly like the darker portrait of Queen Anne's lace. It reminds of a Tim Burton film. Quite haunting and fantastical! :)
